Hey hey rad friends! I am so stoked for today’s post because today we are welcoming a very special guest. OLIVIA BELL!!🎉

*throws confetti over evverrrything*

1. Hey Livy! Can you tell the readers a little about yourself?

Sure! My name is Olivia Bell and I am a 19 year old  Bible Bee Alumni and Bible college student currently living in the Pacific Northwest. I love reading God’s Word, memorizing and prayer journaling and I also enjoy many things, mostly in the creative realm; such as handlettering, crafting, photography, gardening and baking. I also happen to love my fur babies!

2. Why did you decide to start a magazine?

I decided to start publishing “Christ’s Light Magazine – Shining Bright in a Dark World” back in 2017 after I had actively been writing for and being a columnist in several other Christian magazines. I had thought about the idea back in 2015, that’s when Jesus first laid the idea on my heart, but it wasn’t until 2017 after my mom encouraged me to pursue it that I put it into action. The purpose I hope CLM fulfills is to bring young ladies together for fellowship and encouragement in Christ. I know all too well how it can feel to think you are the only one with your beliefs and convictions in your local sphere, and I want all Christian girls to know they are not alone and that they have a beautiful family in CLM. Each issue we have a different theme that is relevant to young ladies, and we also have a prayer board, along with many other engaging aspects. All the glory for this ministry goes to Jesus Christ, I can take no credit, for without Him CLM would not exist, nor would it have just have been able to celebrate it’s 2 year anniversary and 100 subscribers milestone!

3. What have you learned from it?

Jesus has taught me a lot through having a ministry. He’s taught me the importance of encouraging and being there for others; I have always had a heart for encouragement and try to spread joy to others, but I was able to take that to another level and interact with and encourage girls from around the US and in over 5 other countries through the magazine. It’s also taught me the power of how a simple magazine, and simple words on a page can have a big impact on others lives and I am so grateful for each life my magazine team and I are able to touch.

4. If you could give one piece of advice for walking with Christ, what would it be?

To be consistent. I know it’s hard with so many things fighting for out attention these days, but in our relationships with Jesus it’s so important to be consistently in His Word, studying, memorizing and praying. I have a personal testimony about how Jesus changed my life in relation to this subject that was published in our last issue (feel free to subscribe below to read it!). Purposely setting aside time each day for Jesus and being with Him truly changes your life and you will never be the same.

5. What are your plans for the future?

I am seeking Christ in what He has stored up for me in the future after graduating high school last year. I’m currently studying Christian Theology through Cherith Bible Institute, which has been very interesting, it goes in depth in many different aspects of Christianity and the Bible which I really enjoy. I also feel drawn to Christian missions and would love to be active in that field in the next coming years, along with possibly becoming a Bible Bee host to inspire and lead other youth closer to Jesus. All of this is if the Lord wills though, I want my life to be led by His will, not mine. And of course I would love to be a wife and mother in the future if He wills too. 🙂

In regards to the future of the magazine, I am leaving it in God’s hands. I plan on publishing it for as long as possible, for years and years. It’s become dear to my heart and I can’t wait to see what God does with it in another year, two years, five years.

6. What is your favorite thing about your magazine?

My favorite part about CLM is my beautiful team of columnists. Over the past two years I had my original team, and as time was gone by it has changed and some members have stepped down due to life obligations, making way for new columnists and I just love how we are always a big group of friends, who are always there for each other, to encourage and pray for each other.  Working together to publish something for over a 100 girls to enjoy and be encouraged by is my other favorite part, and hearing from readers.

7. Where can readers keep up with you/ find your magazine? (Instagram, website, etc.)

We have a website that is currently under construction, but our subscription form (the magazine is completely free, btw) is still working! You can visit is at: . We also have an Instagram page we would love for you to follow, just search for @christslightmagazine and while you’re at it you can follow our Christian encouragement page @christslightcreations . 🙂 And if you’d like to keep up with my life you can request to follow me on my personal account, @olivia_bell00 .
