Make a Wave

Faith, Inspiration 2 comments

Maybe you feel like a small boat….. Inadequate, unheard, Insufficient. But like “Fight Song” says, even small boats can make waves. The truth is, you have the power to stir the whole ocean, change the world. But even the greatest inventors didn’t start out huge.

We all start out as small boats. God doesn’t create people greater than each other. Nobody has more potential and talents than anybody else. Every boat is built specifically for its purpose. We all have potential and gifts. It’s your choice whether you stay a small boat, or use the gifts God gave you to make waves that affect the boats around you.

One little thing you do can totally change someone’s day. They may be having a bad day, and then you give them a small bag of cookies or a card. It touches people’s hearts to think that you would take the time out of you busy day to brighten their day. Just showing them that you care can make a whole world of difference.

God gave you everything you need to light the world in your one little match. You have all the gifts and potential you could ever need to fulfill your purpose. Don’t ever feel bad because you can’t do something like someone else. God knows your inabilities, and he made you that way for a reason. He loves you and knows what you need. God knows that I can’t write like Melanie Dickerson, blog like Livy Jarmusch, or sing like Lauren Talley. That’s just the way he made me, because he knows what I need. God has promised to always be with you, (Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”), and the Bible is there to provide you with powerful verses to guide you through your life.

You have all the things you need to sail this ocean, so get out there and make waves!!! Throw kindness around like confetti, be a friend when someone needs you to be, touch lives, and even when you have no idea how to handle some situations, just be there.
